' The Assistant War Secretary, Mr Johnson testified before a committee?, of inquiry that as a result of Allied orders, the productive capacity of the United States at the end of.the year would be between 30.000 and 40,000 planes, compared with 3,643 in 1938. By waiting, the United Slates Army may get an order of three thousand of the latest models in one month.
