The Federal Premier (Mr R. G. Menzies), commenting on the "hands off Russia" resolution of the New South Wales Easter Labour conference, declared that to place the Soviet before Australia was treason. The pro-Rus-sian resolution represented an attempt to slow up Australia's war effort. The New South Wales Parliamentary Labour Leader. Mr McKell, in a statement issued after the meeting of his party, declared fhat the party adhered to the war and defence policy of the Federal Parliamentary Party. "We regard Germany’s, allies as enemies of Britain and therefore of Australia,” he said.
