GATHERING IN OPERA HOUSE I.,AST NIGHT.

Tlic united Service of Witness held in the Opera House last night was well atended. The Rev David McNcur. president of the Masterton Ministers' Association presided. Associated with him on the platform were Archdeacon E. J. Rich, the Revs F. Parker. J. Davie. V. W. Joblin. and T. V. Pearson and Majors Hildreth and MahaiTie.

Tile addresses for the occasion wore given by Major Hildreth who spoke on •'Tlie Cross." and by the Rev Joblin. whose subject was "The Resurrection." Tlie Scripture leading was taken by the Rev Davie and prayer by the Rev Parker. Tlie League of Mothers’ Choir, under the conductorship of Mrs Milter Hope, sang Beethoven's "Creation" hymn. Mr Miller Hope was at the piano
