CARE OF THE FEET

AN IMPORTANT MATTER. If you are wearing sandals during hot weather, don’t forget 'to pay attention to your feet, for if they are not well groomed, it is better not to display them. You may or may not put put lacquer on your nails, but it is essential that you shape them well, pressing back the cuticle, and trimming away any ragged skin. If you have unsightly callouses or blistered heels bathe your feet alternately in hot and cold water, and then rub them with methylated spirit.

Should you blister your heels badly, take: care of them as you would a bad cut or graze. Not only can they be extremely painful; if they are' not properly attended to they may become badly inflamed and hard to heal. Bathe the blistered area with methylated spirit, then cover it with a piece of bandage spread with a reliable healing ointment. Strap this in place with sticking plaster.
