RIVERSIDE CLUB. PATRIOTIC EFFORT. At the meeting of the committee of the Riverside Golf Club, it was decided to support the effort of the New Zealand Golf Association to raise a contribution from the male golfers of New Zealand to the National Patriotic Fund and for this purpose a competition will be played in April. The links have been improved and the greens are responding to their treatment. With a shower or two of rain they should be in excellent condition. The opdiiing day of the club has been fixed for Saturday, April 13. Arrangements are well in hand for the Easter tournament and a number of local players as well as those of surrounding district clubs, have expressed their intention of taking part. Hot luncheon will be provided at the clubhouse each day as well as the usual afternoon teas, and everything is being done to make the tournament a pleasant and successful one.
Several new members have recently been elected to the club.
