THE PRIME MINISTER
CONDITION CAUSING CONCERN. NATIONAL PARTY SYMPATHY. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The following bulletin concerning the health of the Prime Minister, Mr. Savage, was issued yesterday by nis medical advisers:— “The Prime Minister had a rather restless night. His condition is causing some concern.” Reference to the illness of Mr Savage was made yesterday by the DeputyPrime Minister. Mr Fraser, at a luncheon in honour of Mr. D. R. Grenfell. M.P., representative of the United Kingdom branch of the Empire Parliamentary Association at the New Zealand Centennial celebrations. Everyone. he said, regretted that Mr. Savage could not be present to propose the health of Mr. Grenfell. The fact that the state of Mr. Savage's health was causing concern was a shadow over everything that, was taking place at present. Sincere sympathy with Mr. Savage in his illness is expressed in a telegram sent last evening to the DeputyPrime Minister. Mr Fraser, by the general secretary of the New Zealand National Party. Mr. D. W. McClurg. The telegram is as follows: — “On behalf of the National Party I desire to express our most sincere sympathy in the present serious illness of the Prime Minister. Though our views may ditfer on political matters we have always appreciated the sincerity of Mr. Savage and the humanity behind his outlook op all questions.”
