LIEUT. I. HART
GOOD WISHES OF LEGAL PROFESSION. GATHERING TN MAGISTRATE’S COURT. Lieut. I. Hart, of Masterton, a member of the Second Echelon, was met by fellow members of the legal profession in the Masterton Magistrate’s Court this morning. Mr S. R. Gawith, who apologised for the absence of Dr. Trimble, speaking cn behalf of the assembled profession, said Lieut. Hart was the first member of the profession in Masterton to volunteer. He had given up a.lucrative practice to do his duty for his country. The profession one and all admired his patriotism in doing so and wished him success and a safe return. Senior Sergeant G. A. Doggett heartily endorsed, on behalf of the police. Mr Gawith’s remarks. The police held Lieut. Hart in considerable respect and had found him to be very helpful. He wished him the very best of God speed. Mr H. P. Lawry, S.M.. said he was sure all those present would endorse what had been said. It was pleasing •A see such a full attendance of the profession present to support Mi Gawith. Mr Lawry said he would like to add his personal qood wishes to Lieut. Hart and wish him the best experience he could have and a safe return.
