SUCCESS AT NGARUAWAHIA. GORDON CUP WON OUTRIGHT. Pipe-Major Murdo MacKenzie, ot Masterton, added notably at the Ngaruawahia Regatta this week, to his list of successes gained and trophies won. At the piping contest held in association with the regatta. Pipe-Major MacKenzie took the first prizes for pibrochs and for laments and also won for the fourth time the John Gordon challenge cup for pibrochs. This handsome trophy now becomes the Pipe-Major’s own property.
