SERVICES SPEEDED UP. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Dav. 10.35 a.m.) NEW YORK. March 18. United States shipping lines will inaugurate more frequent American pioneer line sailings to Australia on March 30 and will introduce in May faster vessels, similar to the Lightning. at present on the Australia run. which will reduce the present thirtysix days from New York to Brisbane to twenty-six.

There will be sailings from New York every twenty days, compared with the old forty-day service, with alternate voyages including stops at Gulf ports. This is an innovation which will add ten days to those voyages. The Quaker City will inaugurate the new arrangement, leaving New York on March 30. It will be followed by the Potter on April 20. leaving Gulf ports on April 30.
