NEW FINNISH TOWNS
TO REPLACE THOSE TAKEN BY RUSSIANS. GREAT NATIONAL EFFORT PLANNED. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. LONDON, March 18. , According to a Helsinki dispatch quoted in Rome, the Finns have decided to create three new towns bearing the names of those taken over by the Russians—Viborg, Hanko and Sortavala. They will be populated by the people' being evacuated from the surrendered territory.
The Finns have less than six days in which to remove their possessions from the territory given up. Commandeered vehicles are being sent to the evacuated areas and there have been further requisitions of motor-vehicles. Sweden is giving Finland as much help as possible. In answer to a radio appeal, private citizens and motor companies are offering vehicles to the Automobile Association.
