EXPLOSION IN NEW YORK
INCENDIARY TIME-BOMB. PACKED IN SUITCASE WITH MAP OF NEW ZEALAND. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. NEW YORK, March 17. Police found fragments of a map of New Zealand in a suitcase containing an ingenious incendiary time-bomb, which exploded in a parcel room in the Grand Central station, filling it with clouds of smoke and causing a panic. The police are exploring the possibility of the bag having been stored preparatory to a sabotage attempt on the Queen Mary, Queen Elizabeth or Normandie.
