CLOSING DAY TOMORROW

Entries for the New Zealand Centennial Eaby contest will close at the Regent Theatre, Masterton, tomorrow. This will be the final chance for all mothers to enter their babies in the St. John Ambulance contest to find Eaby New Zealand. The entry fee is ss, which entitles anyone to enter their baby. Moving pictures will bo taken of the babies entered and the film will be screened at the Cosy Theatre. Entrants will be entitled to see the film without further cost. In addition, each baby will receive the film on which it appears, as a memento of the occasion. Judging will be by the vote of independent audiences. Every patron at the Cosy Theatre will receive a voting card for every Gd paid for admission. In other words if Is Gd is paid in admission fee, three votes are allowed. Although there is a splendid response more entries are urgently required. Parents are urged to enter their children to win the cash prizes, particulars of khich were advertised recently. In urging parents to support the worthy cause, the manager of the Regent Theatre. Mr. A. Grant, stated this morning: •■The thrill of seeing their own little ones on the screen must not be denied by parents. Each child has its own little tricks, which transferred to celluloid makes a treasured possession, which is later years will prove a delight not only to the parents but to the child itself. This is also an opportunity for all. to contribute to the cause of the St. John Ambulance —a body which has done so much to further first aid work. in. New Zealand."
