Miss Miller, Auckland, was at the Empire Hotel, Masterton, yesterday.
Mesdames Wood and Cook, Wellington. were guests yesterday at the Empire Hotel, Masterton. Miss Sellar, who is having a quiet morning wedding, is to be married on Easter Saturday, and Miss James, who is also having a quiet wedding, is to be married the following week.
Mrs. Rogers, of Invercargill, is a visitor to Carterton and is staying with Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Bennett, of Wyndham Street. Mrs. Rogers and Mrs. Bennett will visit Palmerston North and other northern towns before returning to Carterton again. Miss Gillian Gooder, Masterton, who is to be a debutante at the Plunket Society’s ball at the Exhibition tonight, will arrive from the south today. She is a student at the Canterbury College School of Art. and is the daughter of Mrs Rita Gooder, Church Street. Masterton.
