FREIGHTER SALVAGED
FfEMARKABLE FEAT PERFORMED IN AUSTRALIA. SHIP BERTHED SAFELY. SYDNEY. March 15. After one of the most remarkable salvaging feats ever performed in Australia, the Union Company’s freighter was freed from the wreckage and berthed safely. Two divers at a depth of sixteen feet cut through the thick steel plates for twenty feet with a special under-water oxy-acetylene plspt.
