MEETING OF MASTERTON COMMITTEE.
PAST MONTH’S ACTIVITIES.
The president. Mrs ,T. Caselberg. presided over the monthly meeting of the Masterton branch of the Plunket Society held yesterady afternoon. There were also present Mesdames J. D. O'Connor, S. L. P. Free, V/. A. Michael, J. M. James, P. Nathan. D. Donald. T. C. Richardson, T. Jordan. E. G. Eton. Sortain Smith, T. A. Brown, C. A. Carmine. H. 11. Daniell, J. M. Coradine, A. F. Stewart. T. F. Watson, N. Irwin, E. G. Norman, R. Miller (Kopuaranga).and J. V. Gordon.
Apologies for absence were received from Mesdames Dagg. R. F. Beetham. R. C. Drummond, T. W. Wardell, A. C. Ericson. A. H. Falloon. A warm vote of thanks was accorded the relieving nurse for her efficiency, and the pleasing manner in which she had carried out her duties.
Accounts for £52 8s were passed. Mrs T. F. Watson gave a most interesting insight into the Plunket rooms at the Exhibition, where she spent several hours daily during her visits The thoughtful action of the girls of St Matthew's Collegiate School in making a gift of babies' garments was greatly appreciated by the committee. Following is the nurse's report for the month: Masterton. visits to office, adults 454, babies 428 pre-school, children 91; telephone 213, total 1186. Visits to homes: New cases 37, old cases .124, pre-school 30, total 161. New cases, town. 17. Outstation, Tinui sub-branch, Riversdale, Homewood. Blairlogie, Taeuru, 2 visits each, Annedale 1 visit. Visits to homes, 27. Pre-natal section, new cases 2: return visits 5: visits to homes 4.
