MASTERTON CLUB GAMES.
RINK CHAMPIONSHIP CONTEST.

The semi-final of. the Masterton Bowling Club's rink championship was played yesterday afternoon between A Hendry, S. V. Gooding, A. Chapman and. C. Perry is), and J. Skecf. D. Thomson. W. Hendry and W. Christian Is). J. Campbell played as substitute for V. Gooding. The green was in good order and the match proved an interesting one. with an exciting finish, as an extra head had to be played. A number of bowlers watched the game and remained until the last head was played. Christian's team obtained an early lead, and at the (ill) head the scores were Perry 1. Christian !). At the tilth head Christian had a lead of 5 points, but on the 1 Uh head the scores were even. Perry It). Christian 10. On the 18th head Christian was leading by one point but. on the 20th head the scores were Perry 15. Christian 14. Christian scored a single on the 21st head, making both teams 15 each. Tn the extra head played Perry's team scored"a point making them winners by that small margin. Perry’s team has now to meet E. Reid's team in the final.
