COAL FOR ITALY
SUPPLIES FROM GERMANY AND POLAND AN AGREEMENT REACHED. SUFFICIENT TO MEET ALMOST ALL REQUIREMENTS. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day. 11.55 am.) ROME. March 13. Italy and Germany have reached an agreement, for consignments of coal to Italy by railway, using three and possibly four Alpine passes. Both Italian and German trucks will be used for the transport of coal from Poland. Ruhr and Westphalia. The agreement will enable Italian requirements to be covered almost completely.
