LEVY ON HIDES
RATES FIXED BY COMMITTEE. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON. This Day. At a meeting in Wellington yesterday morning of the hides committee, Ihe levy to be paid by exporters was fixed at the following prices a lb. of declared export weights:— Ox and cow hides 5-Bcl Bull hides Id Yearlings 3d Calf skins Id The new hide regulations are now in operation and auction will proceed as usual. The exporters will be in a position to bid with confidence to the full export value of all hides, and this will enable vendors to secure the full average value of their hides.
