LEAGUE OF MOTHERS
COMBINED CHOIRS TO GIVE PROGRAMME. PERFORMANCE IN WELLINGTON. Three League of Mothers choirs, from Greytown, Carterton and Masterton respectively, will visit Wellington tomorrow to take part in the proceedings at the annual Dominion meeting of the league. The combined Wairarapa choirs, about 50 strong, will be in charge of Mrs. Miller Hope, of Masterton. At the gathering in Wellington, which will be held at the Assembly Hall at the Exhibition, 25 choirs, of a total of 300 members, from the Wellington provincial district, representing branches of the league in various parts of that area, will give a combined performance of choral items under the conductorship of Madame Ginn. Several Masterton office-bearers will accompany the choir from Masterton, including the president, Mrs. L. B. Maunsell and the secretary. Mrs. J. H. Irving. A meeting of all members of the League of Mothers is to be held in the Exhibtion Assembly Hall tomorrow, at 2.30 p.m. Mrs S. O. English (Auckland) will be in the chair, and Mrs Charles White, retiring Dominion President, will be the speaker. Lady Elliott and the Auckland, Wellington and Dunedin provincial presidents will also speak.
