Wilhelm Borg, an officer of the, Hannover. stated his belief that Captain Richard Wabnschaffc committed suicide after giving the order for the scuttling of the ship. Borg added that Captain WabnschalTe did not. enter any of the three lifeboats, of which Borg's is the only one reported.
