The revision of the proposed depreciation allowance for the assessment of income tax which has been indicated by the Commissioner of Taxes, was discussed by a meeting of representatives of the Canterbury Chamber of 'Commerce, the Canterbury Employers' Association, and the Canterbury Manufacturers' Association. It was decided to prepare a memorandum on the subject and refer it to the various bodies for discussion. The commissioner had already circularised the organisations concerned, informing them of the proposal and asking for consideration of the matter.
