NEW ZEALAND DONATION

ANNOUNCED BY FINANCE MINISTER.

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON. This Day

The Finance Minister. Mr Nash, today announced the Government's decision to contribute £5OOO New Zealand currency towards the Polish Relief Fund, the money to be forwarded through the High Commissioner to the London Headquarters of the fund, which have been incorporated under the chairmanship of Lord Moyne and are administered by a committee which includes the Polish Ambassador in London, the Archbishops of Canterbury and York-, the Cardinal Archbishop of Westminster, the Chief Rabbi, Mr N. Chamberlain, Lord Halifax, the Duke of Norfolk and Earl Baldwin. The fund works in close co-opcration with the International Red Cross Committee. Geneva, the Society of Friends, the Y.M.C.A. Federation. Jewish relief organisations and the American Commission on Polish Relief.
