A message from Helsinki states that there js a growing belief that the Russian-Finnish negotiations in Moscow have failed. It is even reported that the Finnish Prime Min- . ister, M. Ryti, is already proceeding home. The' Russian broadcasts to Finland have ben resumed after an interval of two days, inciting revolt against the “bloodstained Mannerheim gang.” The Press is repeating the assertion that Russia desires to “help the toilers of Finland to free themselves.” The south of Finland has been extensively bombed. The Paris correspondent of “The Times” says it is believed that the Allies will actively intervene in Finland if they receive a direct appeal, provided that Sweden and Norway do not raise obstacles.
