“BABY NEW ZEALAND?” (Abridged Particulars of Contest is open to all Babies born on or after January 1, 1937. (1) Entry fee of five shillings entitles entrant to participate in the contest, to receive a postcard photograph of the baby, and to receive ten feet of theatre-size cinematograph films of the baby. (2) Entrants will bo grouped into contestants for Theatre Contests, there being approximately 70 theatres in New Zealand participating. (3) After the local theatre winners have been decided, the six leading contestants in each theatre in each district will compete for the district; winner. There are 12 districts.! The seven district winners in the; North Island will ultimately compete to ascertain the North Island [ winner, and the five district win-; ners in the South Island to ascertain the South Island winner. These two will compete for first and second prizes. (4) THE MASTERTON CONTEST I will be held at I I THE COSY THEATRE. | Commencing April 12, 1940. I and will be chosen by patrons' vote —one vote for each sixpence paid for admission, admission being at usual prices. (5) All contestants will bo photographed by moving picture camera. (C) Entries close on March 19. 19-10. (71 Local Prizes will be:— First EC Second W Third Li Fourth )-'2 Fifth M Sixth 10.6 and these six will then automatic- 1 ally enter the contest for the Dis-| trict Prizes:— (8) The whole contest is under the control of St. John Amlmlance, whose officers count and check all votes. (9) The regulations governing the conduct of the contest have been lodg-, ed with Sir R. Heaton Rhodes. K.C.V.0., K.8.E., and reserve the righ* of the Trustees ot St. John Ambulance to alter the programmei and limit its scope or scale ol prizes in the event of adverse circumstances beyond the control of the organisers.
