■ NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS KEEN CONTEST BETWEEN OTAGO AND WELLINGTON. BOOT WINS DECIDING RACE. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The forty-ninth national track and field championships of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association, attended by 6000 people at the Basin Reserve, Wellington, on Saturday, closed on a thrilling note. With one event, the mile medley, to be decided, one point separated Otago (40) and Wellington (41) for the championship shield. V. P.
