The Ceniennial demonstrations of the New Zealand United Fire Brigades’ Association concluded on the Petone Recreation Ground on Saturc.ay, when 2000 people gathered io watch the interesting performances by a large number of fire-fighters. A striking feature cf the demonstration was ihe success of Petone. who won the championship shield for all 12 events, the High Pressure Shield for all nine wet -events, and the manual shield for all five of the one. two and three men events. Their prize-money totalled £65 10s. Details:—

Championship Shield: Petone, 1001 points; Upper Hutt, 751 points; Carterton. 741 points. High Pressure Shield: Petone, 761 points: Upper Hutt. 711 points; Carterton, 57 points. Manual Shield: Petone, 361 points; Carterton, 281 points; Upper Hutt, 24 points. Camel Cup (three-men dressing event): Carterton and Petone. equal.

Duplex Cup (four-men motor): Felon e.

Gilbert Memorial Shield (one-man championship): Hastings. Merryweather Shield (four-men motor event; showing two waters from tower): Upper Hutt. Neill Cup (four-men pump event): Petone.

Simplex Shield 'four-men hose and standpipe): Upper Hutt. Prize money: Petonc, G 5 10s; Upper Hutt, £4l 10s: Carterton, £37.
