Machine-gun and rifle fire along most of the Rhine-Moselle front, reflected the more general activity resulting from better weather. Both sides carried out raids. The French Daredevil Corps showing superiority in several clashes in no man's land.
More intense aerial patrolling accompanied the increased land activity, but contacts between the rival air forces were confined to brief skirmishes. German airmen, retaliating for the French penetration of the Reich, flew over Northern and Eastern Franco. Air raid warnings were sounded, in the latter region. Anti-aircraft, guns went, into action against a lone plane which was dropping leaflets in Eastern France.

The Official German News Agency mentions more lively weekend artillery and patrol activity between the Moselle and the Palatinate forests, which have been the principal battleground since the outbreak of war. The agency claims that German scouting parties penetrated enemy territory at several points. ’
