AIR MAIL DELAYS
UP TO SIXTEEN WEEKS
CANTERBURY COMPLAINT. CENSORSHIP BLAMED. IBy Telegraph—Press Association J CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Delays of up to sixteen weeks in the delivery in England of Empire air mail Utters sent from New Zealand are causing grave concern among city business men. Water-borne letters have arrived more or less promptly and the late arrival of the air mail has caused considerable confusion and annoyance. Several complaints have been made to the Canterbury Chamber of Commerce, which is now discussing delays with, the authorities in Wellington. The Postmaster-General. Mr Jones, will be asked to expedite the censorship, which is believed to be the cause of the trouble.
