The morning papers describe Hassett's innings in the match New South Wales versus the Rest of Australia, in which Hassett scored 136 as one of the finest seen on the Sydney Cricket Ground. Hassett reached the century in a hundred minutes, and. with Grimmett. added a hundred runs for the ninth wicket in thirty-one minutes. Hassett hit four sixers and fifteen fours. 'The match is being played in aid of New South Wales Patriotic Funds.
