ADDITIONAL PURCHASES IN UNITED STATES. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. WASHINGTON, March 7. After conferring with the Secretary to the Treasury. Mr. Morgenthau, Mr. Arthur Purvis, head of the Allied purchasing mission, announced that he will confer with manufacturers in New York next Monday concerning new Allied aircraft orders involving approximately 1,000,000,000 dollars. He added that the mission has no fixed ideas as to the types of aircraft or whether the purchases are to be limited to standardised types.
