LAND SALES

PALESTINE REGULATIONS LABOUR MOTION REJECTED IN COMMONS. GROUNDS OF CRITICISM. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY. Marcli 6. The House of Commons rejected a Labour motion condemning the control of land sales in Palestine by 292 votes to 129. The motion criticised the regulations on three main grounds —that they would discriminate unjustly against one section of the inhabitants in Palestine; that they were inconsistent with the terms of the mandate; and that the Government had acted without the authority of the Council of the League of Nations.
