BRITISH EXPORTS

FORMATION OF INDUSTRY GROUPS. MORE ABOUT EXPANSION PLANS. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, March 6. The first industry groups to be formed under the guidance of the newly-formed Export Council, which aims at achieving the maximum wartime expansion of exports, are expected to be launched before the weekend and will probably be concerned with branches of the textile trade. The formation of a wool industry group in Bradford gives early shape to the Export Council’s plan for expanding war time exports. The council aims to persuade industries voluntarily to tackle the problems involved in the adjustment of wartime trade machinery, also organisation of buying and selling. It is expected that the formation of other groups will quickly follow.
