PENALTY REDUCED
LIQUIDATOR IN COURT. MAGISTRATE'S CALCULATION. (By Telegraph—Press Asocial ion.) CHRISTCHURCH, March 6. Five omissions as liquidator made Fred G. Dunn liable to a fine of over £35.000, according to calculations made in Court today by Mi- Young. S.M. Dunn, however, was fined £2 on one charge anil £.3 on another. The charge was that, as liquidator of a company. Dunn failed to send to the Registrar of Companies a statement containing prescribed particulars with respect to the proceedings and position of the liquidation. There were three offences of this nature and two charges of failing to call general meetings of shareholders. All the charges were admitted. The Magistrate pointed out that on the charge of failing to send in returns, Dunn was liable to a fine of £5O a day for approximately seven hundred days.
