WEDDING

LINTON—ROBAND. The marriage took place in the Presbyterian Church, Greytown, last Wednesday, of Dora May, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs P. L. Roband. and Robert Linton, son of Mr and Mrs J. Linton. The Rev Bloomfield performed the ceremony. Miss Anker presided at the organ. The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr Reg Roband, looked charming in a gown of pale pink georgette with hat to match. She carried a bouquet of lilies and fern, toning with her gown. She wore the ■orange blossom which her mother had worn at her own wedding. Mrs Roigard, sister of the bride, acted as matron of honour, and Miss Gwen Roband (sister) was bridesmaid. Both were attired in pale blue georgette, hats to match, and.carried bouquets to tone with their dresses.

The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Mr Andrew Linton, as best man, and Mr H. McDonald as groomsman.

After the ceremony, the bride's mother received the guests at the Odd Fellows’ Hall. She was wearing a brown tailored costume, with hat to match. She was assisted by Mrs Knowles (sister of the bridegroom) wearing a frock of blue and cyclamen? Each carried a bouquet of dahlias and fern tonihg with their dresses. Mrs Beatrice Hodge, grandmother of the bride, received from her greatgranddaughter, June Hammond, a gift from the wedding cake.

Friends of the bride decorated the Church and Odd Fellows’ Hall. The bride travelled in a brown tailored costume, with hat and accessories to match.
