REPLACEMENT OF SEVERED LEG. REPORTED SURGICAL MARVEL. By Telegraph-Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day. 10.45 a.m.) MOSCOW. March 3. The radio claimed that a surgeon at the Rostov Institute amputated the hind leg of a dog and reattached it. immediately after an operation, in a plaster dressing. The dog was able to use the leg in a perfectly normal manner after a month. The experiment is an unprecedented success and will make it possible to reattach human limbs severed in accidents.
