ROAD ACCIDENTS

COMMITTEE TO CONSIDER LIABILITY. MOTORIST REPRESENTATIVES APPOINTED. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON. This Day. The Minister of Justice (Mr Jones) announced today that in order to give motorists separate representation on the committee which'is to consider the question of liability for motor accidents, Mr W. A. O’Callaghan, I-lawera (North Island Motor Union) and Mr R. Wilson. Timaru (South Island Motor Union) had. as a result of consultation with the respective organisations, been added to the committee, the other members of which arc Messrs fl. F. O'Leary. K.C.. IL Caughley, J. 11. .Torram. W. E. Leicester and J.' Read.

Owing to the previous engagements of various committee members, the Minister said, it wpuld not. be possible for them to hear evidence before Easter. April 8 had been fixed as the day on which the first witnesses would be called.'
