CHARGE OF ASSAULT
MAURICEVILLE MAN BEFORE COURT. Arrested at Mauriceville late on Saturday night by Detective-Sergeant W. Kane and Constable C. H. Reardon, of Masterton, a young man, Kenneth Stanley Clement, of Mauriceville, appeared before a special sitting of the Magistrate's Court at Masterton yesterday on a charge of assault causing bodily harm. Messrs L. J. Taylor and E. M. Hodder, J's.P., were on the Bench. Clement was remanded to appear on March 7. bail being fixed at £lOO (self) and a surety for £lOO.
