WORK ON CANTON ISLAND. HOTEL OF 24 ROOMS BEING BUILT. By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright. SAN FRANCISCO, February 28. Pan-American Airways have announced that the California Clipper is en route from Honolulu to Canton Island to transfer personnel and transport supplies to the construction crew finishing passengers’ and pilots’ quarters in preparation for the projected New Zealand service. An air-conditioned hotel of 24 rooms is being constructed on the island.
