Woolpack Prices.
Explaining the Board of Trade Woolpacks Revocation Regulations, 1940. which were published last night with the Gazette, an officer of the Department of Industries and Commerce said that as all woolpacks for the 193940 season had been bought there was no need for the continuation of the present Order-in-Council, which fixed the price for that season only. It might be necessary to fix the price for next season. 1940-41, but that was a question which could not be determined till the season's requirements of jute woolpacks had been purchased from Calcutta. The jute market would indicate that the price of woolpacks for next season would be higher, but very careful consideration would be given to that question before any action was taken.
