As result of the collision, Mr Fairburn ■■nd his passenger, Mr R. V. Burgess, of Masterton, received lacerated facial wound:-: arid shock. Mr Fairburn was conveyed to the Masterton Hospital by tin- Greytown ambulance, which happened ’o be passing by at the time with a patient for the Masterton Hospital. On inquiry this morning it was learnt that Mr Fairburn was in a satisfactory condition.
