ACCIDENT ON CARTERTON HIGHWAY. ■I ASTERTON RESIDENT TAKEN TO HOSPITAL. Au accident occurred on the Car-l'-i i.oii-Maslerton Main Highway at ah'nii Tin o'clock last night, when a ''d.'i-.ion toiik place between a motor "• in'-li- driven by Mr James Robert I ai.'burn, bailill, Masterton, who 'was '1 av'-lim;; m a northerly direction and ■ i lorry, ov/iicd by Mr O. R. FairI loih'-i, of Masterton, and proceeding lo /.i.i il-i 1 .'arlc. ton. The accident occur.,n rilraight stretch of road beI 7,'i-i-n i/lanaia Road and South Belt. As result of the collision, Mr Fairburn ■■nd his passenger, Mr R. V. Burgess, of Masterton, received lacerated facial wound:-: arid shock. Mr Fairburn was conveyed to the Masterton Hospital by tin- Greytown ambulance, which happened ’o be passing by at the time with a patient for the Masterton Hospital. On inquiry this morning it was learnt that Mr Fairburn was in a satisfactory condition.
