Her mother has placed the 10- • year-old star in the Los Angeles West- ■ lake School for girls, and she has star- ■ I led out in the seventh grade. Until a ! few weeks ago Shirley, like most other ■ I child stars, has been under the tutelage of the Los Angeles Public School System, which supplies regular teachers to conduct classes in studio schools. Mrs Temple’s decision to enrol Shirley in a regular school is yet another step in her consistent efforts to keep her ; famous daughter's life normal with an I average background. Shirley is an exI celleht scholar, and learns very quickj ly. While she is making pictures she I will return to studio schoolrooms.
