EXPERIMENT TO SAVE SPACE

It is estimated that by exporting beef without, the bone ships will carry at least 20 per cent more consumable meat. This will be cut into pieces of 30 to 4f)lb.. packed tightly in the ship's refrigerated holds. The first experimental shipment has already been authorised. It is officially stated that the system of telescoping frozen lamb into mutton carcasses, introduced some months ago. is conserving nearly 30 per conf of. the mutton export space.
