The German Legation has sent a loving cup to the non-Aryan Captain Meyer, master of the Feddy and £25 to members of the crew, because the Feddy rescued two German airmen in the North Sea on October 8.

According to a cablegram from Copenhagen on January 10. the Feddy was one of two Danish ships attacked by Nazi aircraft in the North Sea. The attack raised indignation in Denmark and a strong protest was made to Berlin and full compensation was demanded for damage, for the wounded and for the dependents of the Feddy’s engineer.
