PLUNKET SOCIETY
THE APPEAL FOR FUNDS. GOOD EARLY RESULTS. A very good beginning was made yesterday in the house to house collection in which the Masterton branch of the Plunket Society is raising urgently needed funds. Available information suggests that the flow of donations thus far compares very well with that obtained last year, when a satisfactory total collection was made. The visits to houses will be continued today and on the remaining days of this week. All householders are urged to give what they can. Even the smallest contributions' will be accepted gratefully. Judging by yesterday's results, as has been indicated, the society will not be denied the financial support it needs in order that it may carry on unhampered its voluntary and immensely valuable community service in caring for the health of mothers and infants and that of pre-school children.
