WEDDING

WALSH—LETT. A soldier’s wedding was celebrated at St. Patrick’s College, Silverstream. on Saturday afternoon when Dulcie, daughter of Mr and the late Mrs W. Lett, formerly of Pahiatua and now of Levin, was married to Private Sefton Patrick Walsh, of the 27th ma-chine-gun reinforcements, second echelon,. Trentham Camp, an old boy of the college, well known in boxing circles, and only son of Mr and Mrs J. A. Walsh, Pahiatua. The marriage took place in the chapel of the college, the celebrant being the Rev. Father Jesse Kingan, an old friend of the bridegroom, assisted by the Rev. Fathers Kennedy, rector of the college, and O’Leary. The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a smartly tailored costume of white silk pique, with a shoulder spray of orange blossoms and a white halo hat. She carried a white prayer book. The bridesmaid, Miss Nola Price. Palmerson North, wore a model frock : of dove grey voile and hat to tone. The - best man, who also acted as master of ceremonies, was Corporal J. P.
