ADDITIONAL ORDERS BY ALLIES. LIMITED ONLY BY TEMPO OF PRODUCTION. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. NEW YORK, February 25. The “New York Times” states that the British and French purchasing commissions announced today that they are placing with United States manufacturers additional orders for warplanes that are likely to amount to a thousand million dollars. The decision amounts to the Allies buying the total warplane production above the United States’ defence needs. The commissions ..stated that purchases or otherwise are limited solely by the tempo of production.
