COSY THEATRE
“BULLDOG DRUMMOND.” “Bulldog Drummond,” the screen’s most popular sleuth, goes on his most thrilling, reckless adventure in his latest film, “Bulldog Drummond’s Bride,” which will be shown tonight at the Cosy Theate. Thrill follows thrill in pursuit of a daring, dangerous bank robber who strikes at England’s most closely-guarded vault. With John Howard as “Drummond” and Heather Angel as “Phyllis Clavering,” this H.C. (“Sapper”) McNeill story will hold patrons in suspense from beginning to end. The supporting cast includes many familiar “Drummond” players in H. B. Warner, Reginald Denny, E. E. Clive and Elizabeth Patterson. The associate feature will be “The Arkansas Traveller,” starring Bob Burns, Jean Parker, Fay Bainter, Lyle Talbot, and Porter Hall. It is a delightfully refreshing human comedy woven about a happy-go-lucky traveller. In the character of “the traveller” Bob Burns, on whose shoulders has fallen the mantle of Will Rogers, gives a superb character study, which has taken its place among, the great screen portraits. It is an absorbing story of love, hate, laughter and tears. Episode 7 of “Scouts to the Rescue” will also be screened.
