MEAT SUPPLY
CONSIDERABLE IMPROVEMENT. IN BRITAIN. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY. February 19. A more satisfactory condition of Home meat supplies was shown today by the Parliamentary Secretary to the Food Ministry, who said: —• I think we can claim without boastfulness that the Home.meat supply situation is improving very considerably indeed. He revealed that the current week’s offerings for sale to the Ministry showed a considerable increase. The distribution of coal in Britain has now almost returned to normal. During the past few days one railway alone has employed 25.000 wagons to move more than 390.000 tons of coal from collieries to destinations in all parts of the country.
