Miss Yvonne Jones, of Wanganui, is visiting Masterton and is the guest of Mrs S. Mawley. Miss Ruby Batt, of Nelson, is staying with Mrs Coleman, Worksop Road, Masterton.
Miss N. Caldwell. Wellington, is visiting her sister. Mrs W. Hedley, Pihautea.
Mr and Mrs J. Franklin. Hamilton, are staying at the Hotel Midland. Masterton.
Miss E. McGovern, of Wright Street. Masterton, is spending a holiday in Wellington. Miss Joan McKenzie, Puke Te, Masterton, was a recent visitor to Wellington. Mr and Mrs J. L. Sullivan. Christchurch, stayed at the Prince of Wales Hotel. Masterton, last night. Miss Grace Hopkins, who has been visiting her sister, Mrs Eastwood, College Street, Masterton, has returned to Auckland.
Mr and Mrs Colin McKay and family have returned from a trip to Paihia, Bay of Islands, where they were the guests of Mr and Mrs R. A. Renal], formerly of the Wairarapa.
Mr and Mrs J. D. Sievwright, “Vailima,” The Terrace. Wellington, celebrated the fiftieth anniversary of their wedding yesterday with a 5 to 7 party, which was attended by more than 100 friends. Mr and Mrs Sievwright were married in Invercargill by the Rev John Ferguson, of St Paul’s, assisted by the Rev George Lindsay, of First Church. Mrs Sievwright was Miss Jessie McCallum, second daughter of Mr and Mrs M. McCallum, Southland. There are two sons. Mr A. B. and Mr Gorden Sievwright, two daughters, Mrs A. H. Tocker, Christchurch, and Mrs A. F. Meldrum, Hamilton, and 14 grand-children.
