An old and respected resident of Featherston, Mr Peter McDonald, died at the Greytown Hospital on Saturday. Mr McDonald, who was a veteran of the Boer War, was engaged in general farm work in the district, and at one time acted as a guide for shooting parties which visited the coast. He was a widower, and is survived by one married daughter, who lives at New Plymouth. -.The funeral took place today. Methodist Church. The service at the Methodist Church on Sunday evening was taken by Mr Ben Roberts, M.P., who gave an interesting address on the "Brotherhood of Man.”
